Responsible for supporting the Financial Controller and the Finance Officeer in the financial operations of the organisation, ensuring accurate record management and compliance with financial regulations. Key Result Areas. Maintain the rent accounting function and invoice all factored properties to secure accurate income and records. Undertake monthly payroll, making payments and notifying stakeholders of deductions to meet statutory deadlines. Undertake benefit related pension returns, acting as first point of contact for queries. Assist in production of monthly, and annual accounts by reconciling key balance sheet accounts and preparing analysis. Process and reconcile ledgers, bank and control accounts to keep balances accurate and audit ready. Prepare routine financial reports for managers to aid operational decision-making within guidelines. Apply financial regulations and procedures, interpreting guidance to resolve queries and escalate unusual matters. Liaise with internal teams and external bodies to obtain information and resolve queries on time. Prepare service‑charge (factoring) budgets, invoicing, repairs recharges, and arrears, ensuring accurate financial records and compliance with factoring regulations. Provide financial support to housing team and handle owner queries related to charges, payments, and account balances. Oversee and provide support and cover for Finance Assistants, maintain customer accounts, and manage purchase‑ledger activities. Safeguard financial data and records to protect confidentiality and integrity. Undertake any other duties as reasonably required to support the organisation.
