Trainee Estimator/Graduate opportunity! Office based in Richmond Permanent - Full Time - 35 hours per week - Monday-Friday - 9-5 £30-35,000 plus benefits As a long established business in the field of design, installation and maintenance of ventilation systems, the role of Trainee Estimator, is integral to the success of the company. You will enjoy working with a successful, collaborative team in lovely offices in Richmond (10 minutes from station or free parking on site available) The primary function of the Trainee Estimator is to ensure accurate preparation and submission of quotes for new and existing customers across a range of commercial and residential projects. To be successful in the role of Trainee Estimator you will be involved in: Reviewing new project leads, plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare accurate estimates Gathering and analysing labour, material, and equipment costs to determine project costs Creating detailed take offs to build accurate tender submissions using Ensign and SimPRO including the calculation of airflow rates to Building Regulation requirements Identifying and quantifying potential risks and opportunities associated with each project Tracking and maintaining accurate records of estimate progress to contribute to forecasting Conducting handover meetings with the operations team for new project starts Keeping up to date with industry trends, Regulations, and product advancements to ensure competitive pricing and value-added solutions We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic graduate, or someone who has some experience who is eager to begin their career. To be successful in the role of Trainee Estimator you will have: Any hands-on experience through university projects, internships, or part-time roles related to construction or estimating Familiarity with reading technical drawings or working with estimation software (desirable but not essential) A relevant degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, Construction Management, or a related discipline Full training will be provided, so a proactive attitude and enthusiasm for developing a career in mechanical estimating are most important
