Bridge Recruitment is helping one of our established clients recruit for an experienced Quality Engineer to join their ever-expanding team. As the Quality Engineer you will oversee the quality control processes within the manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities of the Quality Engineer:
Quality Improvement
* Implement formal quality control procedures based on best practices.
* Define shop floor processes and procedures in collaboration with operational teams.
* Identify and implement new processes and equipment to enhance production efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Quality Assurance & Compliance
* Ensure compliance with ISO9001 standards.
* Investigate and report non-conformances and customer complaints.
* Carry out internal audits and support supplier audits in collaboration with purchasing teams.
* Monitor supplier quality performance criteria and ensure adherence to set standards.
* Manage and control equipment calibration.
Data Management & Performance
* Collect and analyze quality performance data, including reporting in management review meetings.
* Monitor and support continuous improvement initiatives through data-driven insights.
* Provide regular quality reports, including technical-related debit notes and customer returns analysis.
Training & Team Support
* Conduct quality induction training for all new employees.
* Organize and oversee local quality training within the department and factory.
* Support teams with documentation and modifications of the Quality Management System (QMS).
* Lead and document quality meetings to address ongoing issues and improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
* Cooperate with purchasing teams to enhance supplier quality performance.
* Support client and customer correspondence regarding quality-related inquiries.
* Ensure product UL compliance and other regulatory requirements are met.
* Align with corporate values, ethics, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitments.
Requirements of the Quality Engineer:
* Proven experience in a manufacturing and assembly environment.
* Knowledge of metal component handling, storage, and movement best practices.
* Strong time management, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
* Excellent communication skills across all levels of the organization.
* High level of accuracy, responsibility, and attention to detail.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
* Familiarity with MS Office and data management tools.
* Commercial and financial awareness related to quality control.
