Overview
Store Design Executive role at Dobbies Garden Centres. Based in the Hub at Dobbies Milton Keynes on a 12 month fixed term basis.
Responsibilities
* Support the Design Manager - Store Experience to design and optimise retail and hospitality environments through the refurbishment programme
* Visit every refurb store prior to refurb to pull together requirements for brand and VM
* Brief external contractors on work and collate costs
* Visit refurb stores regularly during the refurbishment stage to ensure store layout, brand and VM elements are implemented to agreed brand standards
* Support store teams on the new store standards and coach them to enable them to upkeep the new styles
* Support the restaurant design project through concept development, kit procurement and implementation via the store refurbishment programme
* Support day-to-day management of strategic store design projects - Home, Pet and Foodhall
* Work with external contractors and suppliers to design, build and implement new store kit via the strategic project trials
* Be the main point of contact during build and installation of the strategic design projects through the store refurbishment programme
* Document all store design concepts as blueprints for rollout through future store refurbishment activity
* Manage tracking, reviewing and analysing data from refurbishment store design elements to inform future activity
* Oversee prototyping development and ensure they are fit for purpose, in line with regulations (where appropriate) and signed off by the technical and/or Health and Safety teams
* Support the implementation of new store design and visual merchandising plans

Qualifications / Who We Are Looking For
* VM experience either at store or head office level
* Customer focused mindset with a positive approach
* Passion for garden living, customer experience and store design
* Strong organisational, planning, written & verbal skills
* Ability to interpret visual ideas through freehand sketch and 3D visualisations
* Self-motivated and driven with the ability to work as a team or independently
* Ability to build trusting relationships and manage workload
* Good attention to detail with a practical hands-on approach
* Seeks feedback and open to learning
* Proficient in Microsoft Office with knowledge and experience in AutoCAD
* Proficient in SketchUp or other 3D visualisation software
* Driving licence required
