Responsibilities
As an Information Security Engineer you will develop, update, and manage relevant systems or products in conformance with security requirements and standards throughout their lifecycle.
* Document technical designs, implementation, and tuning of security controls to balance prevention, detection, response, and usability.
* Perform detailed technical design, coding, hardware prototyping, debugging, and documentation.
* Access Management: define and enforce policies to control access to resources; implement RBAC and ABAC models.
* Identity Governance and Administration: manage humans and machines in hybrid and multi‑cloud environments.
* Security and Compliance: conduct IAM audits and assessments; remediate risks; implement controls to protect IAM systems.
* Monitoring and Reporting: monitor IAM systems for anomalies; generate reports on activity and access patterns; investigate identity‑related incidents.
* Work 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, based at the Severn Trent Centre site in Coventry.
Qualifications
Required skills and experience:
* Experience in Identity Governance and Administration, Access Management, Security and Compliance, or Modern Identity.
* Experience in information security operations and engineering functions.
* Experience developing detailed designs and documentation within cyber security and data protection regulations.
* Strong character, positivity, and a caring attitude.
