We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Scrap Metal Trader to join our dynamic team in London. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience in the scrap metal trading industry, with a proven track record of success in sourcing, negotiating, and closing deals. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Sourcing: Identify and source scrap metal from various suppliers, including industrial manufacturers, demolition companies, and recycling facilities.
* Negotiation: Negotiate favorable terms and pricing with suppliers and buyers to maximize profitability and ensure customer satisfaction.
* Sales: Develop and maintain relationships with existing clients while actively seeking out new business opportunities to expand the company’s market share.
* Market Analysis: Stay abreast of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and regulatory changes affecting the scrap metal industry to inform decision-making and strategy.
* Logistics Coordination: Coordinate the transportation and logistics of scrap metal shipments, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with safety regulations.
* Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and environmental standards governing the scrap metal trading industry.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related field.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in scrap metal trading, with a strong network of industry contacts.
* Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets and revenue goals.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish long-term relationships with clients and suppliers.
