Team Nurses get the chance to spend time with the children and their families, developing strong relationships with families and meeting their individual needs. You will have the ability to work both in a team and independently, using your own initiative as well as accessing and contributing to the skill base of the wider team.
Main duties of the job
As part of the Nursing Team, working in line with Julias House policies and procedures, provide family-centered respite care both in the Hospice and Community for children who have life-limiting and life-threatening conditions. When necessary, provide a flexible and responsive approach to support the requirements of end-of-life care. Role model Julias House Values and Behaviours at all times.

When a family finds out that their child has a very serious medical condition, which is life-limiting or life-threatening, their world falls apart. Job responsibilities
You will have experience in clinical nursing assessment, planning, and delivering evidence-based care in conjunction with Julias House policies and procedures to ensure safe care for children and young people with complex needs that often change. You will feel confident in using your clinical judgment and making autonomous decisions about nursing care requirements. You will participate in an on-call rota system to provide telephone advice for staff and families. You will have day-to-day management of the client base, including the deployment, supervision, and teaching of Care Team members. There will be opportunities to broaden your skills with excellent training and development.

Qualifications
* Applicants must have RSCN/RN (Child Branch) - Diploma or Degree, Registered Learning Disability Nurse, RGN, or RN Adult, with at least two years' post-qualification experience working with children with complex needs.
