Nurture Teaching Assistant – EYFS to Year 1 (CF3)

A mainstream primary school in the CF3 area is looking for a Nurture Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team, supporting children across Nursery to Year 1. The school is incredibly welcoming and supportive, with a strong community feel — but some pupils face significant challenges and need consistent, individualised support to help them thrive.
This school has two specialist nurture classes and would be ideal for someone with a background in ALN or someone who’s looking to gain experience in this area. Most importantly, the school is looking for willing, empathetic individuals who are truly committed to helping children feel safe, understood and able to learn.
The Role:
* Supporting pupils 1:1 or in small groups in EYFS – Year 1
* Assisting in a nurture-style classroom environment
* Helping children develop their communication, emotional regulation, and social skills
* Working closely with class teachers, ALNCo and outside professionals
* Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive relationships
You’ll Need:
* A nurturing and patient approach
* Experience in a school, nursery or care setting (desirable but not essential)
* An interest in working with children with ALN or SEMH needs
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* A good sense of humour and a flexible attitude

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
