Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. Were looking for a talented Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Widnes site. Working Monday to Friday, although some flexibility is required to cover holidays.
Pay, benefits and more:
Were looking to offer a salary of up to £28,000. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. Youll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.
What youll do on a typical day:

o To ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism
o Ensures that appropriate communication methods are used to provide information to both internal and external customers as required e.g. debrief of drivers, dealing with customer issues etc.
o To ensure that all traffic planning activity is undertaken in line with legislative requirements
o To ensure compliance with Company Health & Safety requirements highlighting any concerns to line management
o Conduct relevant QHSE activities: Care Cards, Bsafe, Safety Conversations etc
o To ensure trunk operation sheet is up to date.
o To maintain and work through defect logs where applicable
o Raise defects and follow defect process
o To identify and highlight to management any potential improvement opportunities
o To demonstrate the Company Values in the undertaking of their role
o To undertake any other reasonable task as required
o To always display the highest standards of customer service
o To undertake any relevant training events in line with own personal development needs and business requirements
What you need to succeed at XPO:

o Experience in a transport, logistics, or distribution office environment (preferred but not essential)
o Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
o Confident using transport systems and Microsoft Office (training provided where needed)
o Good communication skills with drivers, subcontractors, customers, and internal teams
o A proactive attitude and willingness to learn wider transport and supervisory duties
o Ability to work under pressure and meet daily deadlines
