This role is hands-on and close to the ground. Its about working alongside leaders to make better people decisions in real time.
Alongside this, youll take ownership of ensuring employment law compliance, reducing risk, and embedding clear, consistent people practices across the estate. The aim is simple, give leaders the confidence, tools, and support they need to run their teams well, while protecting the business.
Youll report into the Chief Commercial Officer and work closely with the Groups Senior People Consultant, alongside support from Croner as our external ER partner. This is not a standalone role, youll have the backing, guidance, and expertise around you to support decision-making and navigate more complex cases with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with General Managers and senior leaders across multiple sites, acting as a go-to for day-to-day people challenges and decisions, not just escalation points
Be visible and present across the estate, building trust with site leaders and supporting where it matters most, on the ground, in real time
Support employee relations cases end-to-end (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance), ensuring a fair, consistent, and commercially sound approach
Provide clear, practical HR advice that balances risk and operational reality, using support from the Senior People Consultant and Croner where needed, youre not expected to navigate complex cases in isolation
Bring consistency across sites, ensuring policies and processes are applied fairly, but with enough flexibility to reflect operational realities
Reduce risk through early intervention, spotting issues before they escalate and giving managers the confidence to act quickly and appropriately
Own compliance across the estate, ensuring alignment with UK employment law, internal policies, and audit requirements, no gaps, no surprises
Carry out regular, structured HR audits (contracts, right to work, documentation, core processes) and take accountability for closing any gaps identified
Support GDPR and data integrity across employee records, making sure documentation is accurate, secure, and audit-ready
Prepare sites for internal and external audits, working with leaders to ensure they are organised, compliant, and confident when reviewed
Be willing and able to travel regularly across multiple hotel sites, this is a hybrid role.
