On behalf of our client, we are seeking a skilled Buyer to join a well-established manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, building strong supplier relationships, and ensuring materials and components are delivered on time and to specification.
Key responsibilities:

Negotiating purchasing contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to achieve the best overall value.

Reviewing and managing the purchase order system (MRP) to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
*
Developing supplier relationships to maintain quality, cost, and delivery performance.
*
Working closely with production teams to help maintain stock at planned levels.
*
Communicating forecasts and purchase orders clearly and in a timely manner.
*
Supporting regular supplier reviews and implementing improvements where required.
*
Acting as a key link between engineering, production, finance, and operations teams.

Previous experience in procurement or buying, ideally within a manufacturing environment.

Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
*
Ability to work with MRP systems and knowledge of supply chain and stock management.

A proactive, detail-focused approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
