About UsThe Disabled Children and Young People’s Early Help Team supports children and young people who are aged 0- 18 years old with significant needs arising from their disability. The team aims to ensure that disabled children and their families have access to a needs-led service that promotes resilience, co-production and improves children’s life chances. To do this the team will work with partners to make sure that every child has an accurate assessment of need, with a plan that sets out how support will be delivered, with the aim to improve outcomes. About YouAs a Deputy Team Manager within the Disabled Children’s Service, you will be joining an experienced, supportive and child focused team, which is committed to delivering the best outcomes for children. We require you to have oversight of children’s planning from the point of referral, this includes; ensuring we offer advice, guidance and support at the earliest opportunity, signing off and agreeing EHCP contributions, and making decisions to complete single assessments with families in line with the eligibility criteria. You will also be required to supervise and support staff in this role within the front door. You can also expect to undertake statutory social worker tasks as part of the role.
