We focus on providing excellent personal care. The successful candidate will make an important contribution to the work of the Practice.
About us
We are part of the Wantage PCN in the health centre, working alongside Church Street Practice. The Health Centre has had an extension built very recently offering extra capacity.
Our patient list size is approximately 16,000.
We offer free parking at the Health Centre, regular staff lunches and social events.
We have a large clinical team consisting of 9 doctors, both partners and salaried GP's, a nursing team, pharmacy team, physio team and an admin and secretarial teams.
Job description
Job responsibilities
Accuratetyping of medical reports, liaising with patients where they wish to readreports prior to dispatch and generating invoices.
Patientletters are completed by EMIS task based.
Ensure2 week wait referrals are dealt with efficiently and promptly and contain allrelevant information. Follow up allproformas ensuring appointments are made within a 2 week period.
Keepup to date with changes in referral systems and new templates/protocols byreading e-mails sent to the practice.
Clinicalworkflow using Docman 10 for third party correspondence.
Summarisingof patient records.
Makebest use of the Practice computer system to ensure good communication and auditstandards.
Undertakequeries on behalf of patients, trying to establish their concerns and trying toresolve, keeping the patient informed at all times.
Takecalls from patients with queries
Childprotection dealing with reports back from GP, typing up if not typed.Emailing out and liaising with parent to inform report has been completed.
eRShousekeeping checking the worklists on eRS to see what has been rejected ,cancelled or triage messages and letting GPs know as appropriate.
Attendmeetings when necessary
Bean effective member of the Practice team, supporting colleagues as required.
Raisinginvoices to insurance companies, Funeral directors etc and maintain spreadsheet.
Ensurethat all responsibilities to staff, patients and Practice visitors under theHealth and Safety at Work Act are met.
Suchother duties as are delegated from time to time.
