Main Purpose of the Role
Working within Perth & Kinross Council is about being part of an organisation that puts people at the heart of all we do and provides opportunities to make a real difference by enhancing every life we touch. We currently have two 0.5FTE Intensive Support Teacher posts (PKC13020): £33,594 - £50,589 (pro-rata) at Community Learning Wing, Perth Grammar School.
Two dedicated and enthusiastic teachers (each 0.5FTE) are sought to join our Intensive Support Service. This is a unique opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of children with significant social, emotional and behavioural needs. Connections is a small, offsite intensive support service for children with complex SEBN needs.
Creating trust, Building belief, Nurturing growth form the bedrock of our approach, guiding every relationship and interaction to achieve the best outcomes for each child. We work in partnership with the children’s families, staff in their primary schools, and support services (e.g., educational psychology, allied health).
Our service provides two levels of support: 1) a shared educational placement for up to ten pupils where children attend Connections for two to three days and access their mainstream school on other days, with outreach collaboration to share and model strategies; 2) an outreach service supporting a small number of children.
