Job Description
This role involves maintaining the airport's infrastructure, ensuring it operates safely and efficiently. Key responsibilities include carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive jobs, inspecting, repairing, or installing furniture, fixtures, and fittings, internal small-scale building works, general handy-man jobs, painting, and decorating.
* The ideal candidate will have experience in general building maintenance, preferably within a fast-paced operational environment. They should also have knowledge of building systems, health and safety regulations, and good communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
* Desirable qualifications include IPAF 3a & 3b or forklift license, Legionella awareness training, and knowledge and understanding of an airport environment.
About You:
To be considered for this position, you must possess a valid UK driving license, be able to obtain a clear Criminal Record Check (CRC) certificate, and have evidence of your right to work in the UK. Additionally, you should have a full 5-year employment/educational history with no unaccounted-for gaps.
Responsibilities
1. Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on airport buildings, infrastructure, and facilities.
2. Carry out reactive maintenance requests, ensuring timely resolution of issues and minimal disruption to airport operations.
3. Inspect, repair, or install furniture, fixtures, and fittings e.g., hang doors, install locks, lay carpet tiles, and erect studwork.
4. Perform internal small-scale building works.
5. Conduct general handy-man jobs.
6. Paint and decorate as required.
7. Escort contractors around site as needed.
8. Liaise with airport tenants and stakeholders when performing jobs in working areas.
9. Develop and maintain strong relationships with team members, other staff, tenants, and stakeholders.
10. Carry out work while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
11. Identify necessary tools and materials for each job and liaise with manager to order required items.
12. Demonstrate engagement with company policies, procedures, guidelines, and reporting channels to ensure all work is carried out safely and to the highest standards.
13. Support the team with ad-hoc activities/tasks as reasonably requested.

* Hold a full valid UK driving license or equivalent.
