Overview
We are currently seeking a Cynnydd Youth Engagement Worker to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for working with children and young people to improve their engagement in education. They will hold a caseload, plan, facilitate, monitor and evaluate a range of interventions to support the needs of children and young people in a strengths-based person-centred approach. This post will target children and young people most at risk of disengagement from education and therefore, by association, be at the highest risk of becoming not in education, employment or training (NEET).
Responsibilities
* Engaging with young people in order to build positive relationships in a school setting.
* Delivering a range of interventions to address areas of concern, linked to disengagement and behavioural needs.
* Adopting a multi-agency approach to best support the young people and their families.
About you / Qualifications
This post requires a formal qualification e.g. a Youth Work qualification or equivalent. If you think that you have the necessary experience and qualifications for this role, we would love to hear from you. We would welcome those with experience in the following roles:
* Youth and community worker.
* Level 4 Teaching Assistant.
* Roles that include working with young people who have complex additional learning needs.
