Main duties of the job
Key Responsibilities
Support safe, accurate, and timely repeat prescribing processes
Undertake medicines reconciliation from hospital discharge summaries
Respond to medication queries from patients and staff
Support prescribing quality targets (e.g. QOF) and cost-effective prescribing
Assist with audits, safety searches, and medicines optimisation initiatives
Share medicines safety alerts and manage supply issue communications
Support patient education and awareness around medicines use

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our primary care team. You will support safe and effective medicines management, focusing on repeat prescribing, medicines optimisation, and improving patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
* Support safe, accurate, and timely repeat prescribing processes
* Undertake medicines reconciliation from hospital discharge summaries
* Respond to medication queries from patients and staff
* Support prescribing quality targets (e.g. QOF) and cost-effective prescribing
* Assist with audits, safety searches, and medicines optimisation initiatives
* Share medicines safety alerts and manage supply issue communications
* Support patient education and awareness around medicines use
* Relevant qualification or completed apprenticeship (EPA)
* Strong IT, organisational, and communication skills
* High attention to detail and ability to work independently
* Experience in primary care
* Knowledge of EMIS clinical system
