Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver differentiated lessons to meet the diverse needs of pupils with SEN
* Develop personalised learning strategies and EHCP-linked targets
* Foster a positive, safe, and inclusive learning environment
* Work closely with support staff (TAs, SENCOs, therapists) to ensure consistent provision
* Track pupil progress, write reports, and participate in review meetings
* Apply positive behaviour strategies to support pupil engagement and wellbeing
Candidate Requirements
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS or equivalent overseas qualification)
* Proven experience teaching children with SEN, either in mainstream or specialist settings
* Strong understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and inclusive pedagogy
* Skilled in managing challenging behaviour and using de-escalation strategies
* A proactive, adaptable, and empathetic teaching approach
* Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willing to obtain one)
* Team Teach or other de-escalation training (desirable, but not essential)
