Our team is the best in the industry – is it time for you to join us? GAP Pump & Power Services Division provides advice, servicing, maintenance and repair for generators, dewatering and sewerage pump applications including a large range of hoses, settlement tanks and water processing solutions.
As the first point of contact at our depots, Hire & Sales Coordinators (HSC) play a pivotal role in driving our business success by building strong customer relationships, understanding their hire needs and ensuring we can meet them. The Mobile Hire & Sales Coordinator provides holiday, absence and staff shortage cover at depots within the region. This fast‑paced role offers a platform to grow into management within the GAP Group.
The role is mobile across Tilbury, Cardiff, Tewkesbury, Derby, Bury St Edmunds and Bournemouth, with regular overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities
* Process all hire desk administration, including customer and supplier queries.
* Manage approximately 40‑50 incoming and outgoing hires per day.
* Ensure sufficient stock levels to meet customer demand and maximize sales opportunities.
* Load‑check vehicles and work effectively with the depot team of drivers and fitters.
* Resolve customer complaints and supplier issues efficiently.
About You
* Previous experience in a high‑volume hire desk role is essential.
* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on increasing sales.
* Effective communicator with strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Proficient IT skills with working knowledge of MS Office, including Outlook and Excel.
* Full driving licence.
* Strong team player with the ability to act on own initiative.
