Locum Consultant Surgeon in Elective Orthopaedics with an Interest in Lower Arthroplasty

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a new locum consultant post with a sub-specialty interest in lower limb arthroplasty within the Trauma and Orthopaedic Service in NHS Lanarkshire.
Main Duties of the Role
To provide inpatient and outpatient Elective Orthopaedic services and to support the lower limb arthroplasty services, focusing on four joint lists.

NHS Lanarkshire is an innovative health board serving a population of 650,000 across three acute hospitals. We seek to appoint a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with an interest in lower limb trauma and arthroplasty to join our multidisciplinary team. The post includes a full commitment to adult and paediatric trauma in the Wishaw Trauma Unit, part of the West of Scotland Major Trauma Network. There is also an opportunity to develop a full elective practice at other acute hospitals in Lanarkshire, including a dedicated elective unit at Hairmyres Hospital.
