Job Title: Electrical Bias Engineer
CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Mobile Electrical Bias Engineer to join our team in London.
The successful candidate will be capable of installing and maintaining new plant and equipment, ensuring swift rectification of plant faults and defects.
Role Summary:
1. React to breakdown maintenance requests within the required SLAs.
2. Have technical awareness of computer room, call centre, trader operations, and experience with power, UPS, CPS, distribution, cooling, etc.
3. Perform repairs to modular UPS systems.
4. Test and diagnose power quality issues, including harmonic distortion, using onsite power analyzers.
5. Apply a risk-focused maintenance approach in data centres/critical environments.
6. Provide emergency response standby and call-out services.
7. Escalate urgent issues to the Technical Services Manager.
8. Respond to work interruptions, outages, or emergencies as per SLA.
9. Maintain updated critical engineering maintenance documentation and records.
10. Advise Facilities Management of changes in critical environment requirements.
11. Be willing to work beyond contractual hours.
12. Undertake site surveys, produce Work Requests, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments for planned works.
13. Perform upgrade and installation work.
14. Interpret technical drawings, instructions, processes, and O&M manuals.
15. Ensure completion of all reactive Helpdesk requests.
16. Monitor environmental conditions and review loading/working conditions of critical equipment regularly.
17. Adhere to financial processes at all times.
18. Complete incident reports within 24 business hours for all abnormal incidents affecting system availability.
19. Identify root causes and necessary actions to restore and prevent recurrence of issues.
20. Review and document actions taken, ensuring they are completed.
21. Enter quotes and remedial works into the in-house system.
Experience Required:
Essential: 17th Edition Electrical Wiring Regulations
Desirable:
* Experience with building management systems, fault finding, and operator use.
* Experience with VAV, FCU systems, chilled water circuits, and chilled beams.
* Understanding of HVAC systems.
* Knowledge of CDM procedures.
* Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
* Proven customer service skills.
* Ability to organize tasks and determine material requirements.
* Experience with H&S procedures, COSHH, Working at Heights, Risk Assessments.
* Health & Safety qualifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
* Experience in testing and inspection of electrical systems.
* Knowledge of emergency response, standby, and call-out protocols.
* Understanding of utility and environmental program monitoring.
