Overview
You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care to individuals with complex liver conditions, including pre- and post-liver transplant patients. This is a fast-paced, highly specialised clinical area requiring advanced clinical skills, strong leadership and a compassionate approach.
Responsibilities
* Support the Ward Manager in leading the team, ensuring the delivery of safe and effective care and contributing to the ongoing development of staff and services.
* Act as a role model and clinical expert, promoting excellence in practice and supporting patients through often life-changing diagnoses and treatments.
* Deliver skilled, evidence-based nursing care to patients with acute and chronic liver disease, including those undergoing liver transplantation.
* Act as a shift leader, coordinating care, managing the ward safely and supporting junior staff.
* Participate in the education, training and development of team members, including students and newly qualified nurses.
* Liaise closely with the multidisciplinary team, including hepatologists, transplant team, dietitians, physiotherapists and specialist nurses.
* Participate in clinical audits.
