Construction Project Manager
Witney 40,000 basic (OTE 50,000-70,000) 40 hours per week Monday - Friday Permanent
Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee and deliver key in-house construction projects. Projects include the redevelopment of existing buildings, new build and mixed-use schemes, and commercial fit‑outs and refurbishments. You will work directly with the Owner & Managing Director and take full ownership of projects from concept through to completion.
Key Duties
* Lead and manage construction projects to ensure successful delivery - on time, within scope, and within budget.
* Coordinate internal teams, third‑party suppliers, and contractors.
* Develop detailed project scopes, timelines, and feasibility assessments for new build and refurbishment projects.
* Produce budgets, analyse project costs, and oversee resource allocation.
* Use project management tools, such as Microsoft Project, to track progress and report performance.
* Manage changes in scope, schedule, and cost using appropriate verification techniques.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors.
* Report progress and escalates issues directly to senior management.
Requirements
* Proven experience in construction project management, including refurbishments, fit‑outs, and new builds.
* Experience managing steel portal frame new build projects (desirable).
* Ability to run multiple projects simultaneously from initial planning through to completion.
* Strong budgeting, analysis, and organisational skills; QS experience advantageous.
* Proficiency with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project).
* RICS qualification preferred but not essential.
