Administrator Aberdeenshire Public Dental Service
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Aberdeenshire Public Dental Service for a full-time administrator who will join the dental management team that provides support to the dental teams at 9 sites across Aberdeenshire.
We are looking to recruit a highly professional, experienced and enthusiastic administrator to provide a comprehensive and high quality administrative support within the Aberdeenshire Public Dental Service.
This role involves working alongside the dental management team and the post holder must have the ability to work as a flexible team member with a calm approach. It is essential to be able to work with little supervision, prioritising and managing his or her own workload on a day-to-day basis.
The post holder will process incoming referrals, organise and produce activity reports for the service and also act as the first point of contact for all incoming communication from the dental teams across Aberdeenshire. This will include taking calls from staff and feeding into the positive reporting system in regards sickness absence, annual, study and any other leave.
They must be able to communicate effectively by competent use of email, telephone, written and face-to-face communication. General photocopying, scanning and filing of confidential and non-confidential information is essential. Create and maintain tables and spreadsheets to record and present information. To type reports, correspondence and other documents within agreed time scales and use the relevant IT systems. Be able to undertake ordering, monitoring and maintenance/breakdowns of equipment, stationery and stock. This will include taking part and supporting the team in organising events, meetings and training sessions and the preparation and distribution of materials.
Experience of Carestream Kodak R4 dental software is essential for this role. Knowledge of petty cash processes, invoicing and stock ordering procedures would be advantageous; however, full training will be provided to ensure the post holder is fully supported.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
