EQUANS is recruiting for a Weekend Security Officer to be based in University of Brighton, Lewes Road, BN2 4AT. This is a permanent part time role working 24 hours per week. On offer is a salary of £17,063.40 per annum and benefits package.

Shift Pattern:

Saturday + Sunday 7am-7pm

What will you deliver?

The Security officer is responsible for security integrity of the Mithras Halls student accommodation campus, with 804 residents. To guard, patrol and protect, buildings, in accordance with the assignment instructions. To fulfil Health & Safety responsibilities by adherence to the requirements of the Company's Health & Safety Policy and Health & Safety Management Plans. To ensure that access control, visitor monitoring and booking systems are complied with and to ensure efficient and smooth operations for producing excellent feedback and resident satisfaction. Responds in a professional and courteous manner by providing accurate and timely information and services. To be 1st responder to all out of hours calls relating to the building, make safe where applicable and co-ordinate with the National Operation Centre to escalate the call where required.

Who are we looking for?

• SIA / CCTV licence
• Excellent knowledge and working experience in a high-profile security
industry/customer focused environment.
• Knowledge of public safety and security
• Knowledge of standard security and safety protocols.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• Quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work in high-pressure environments.
• Working knowledge of relevant computer applications.
• First aider
