Responsibilities and duties of the Field Service Technician role Reporting to the Field Service Team Leader you will: Ensure optimal performance of large-scale renewable energy assets Perform operations and maintenance across a portfolio of solar and battery storage sites Adhere to all HSE requirements and safe systems of work Test DC and AC systems, fault-find and trace electrical issues Conduct firmware updates and use monitoring systems to identify asset performance issues Carry out routine inspection, maintenance and testing of electrical systems Analyse performance data to identify trends and recommend operational improvements Support with occasional tasks such as panel cleaning, basic ground maintenance and CCTV checks Travel across your patch and occasionally support sites outside your area when required Professional qualifications We are looking for someone with the following: Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation 2391 Test & Inspection (highly desirable) Health & Safety qualifications (advantageous) Full UK driving licence Personal skills The Field Service Technician role would suit someone who is: Comfortable working independently and travelling between sites Skilled in fault-finding and maintenance rather than installation Proactive and safety-focused Keen to contribute to the growth of the renewable energy sector Salary and benefits of the Field Service Technician role Salary up to £40,000 depending on experience Company bonus Private health cover Life insurance Company van and fuel card (available for personal use) Company pension scheme 33 days holiday including bank holidays LI-MS1 INDREN Astute People are acting as an employment agency in relation to this vacancy.
