HGV Class 1 Driver – Nights – Tipton, West Midlands
People Solutions are currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Tipton, West Midlands, to join our well-established client.

This position would suit applicants seeking a role as an LGV Class 1 Driver, Category CE Driver, or Articulated Lorry Driver.
Shifts
* Monday to Friday
* Start time: 19:00
* Minimum of 8 hours paid per shift
Rates of Pay
* £18.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties
Your duties as an HGV Class 1 Driver will include:
* Operating HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and efficiently
* Working primarily with double-decker trailers
* Completing deliveries and collections as required
* Conducting pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
* Ensuring all loads are safe, secure, and compliant
* Adhering to all UK traffic laws and transport regulations
* Communicating effectively with dispatch teams and customers
* Reporting any defects or maintenance issues promptly
* Assisting with loading and unloading when required
Essential Skills
The skills required for the HGV Class 1 Driver role are:
* A valid UK Category C+E (Class 1) driving licence
* A minimum of 12 months’ Class 1 driving experience
* A valid CPC card and digital tachograph card
* No more than six penalty points for minor offences
* A good level of written and spoken English
* Excellent punctuality and time-management skills
* A strong understanding of UK road transport regulations
* Good communication skills
Desirable Experience
* Experience operating double-decker trailers
* Previous commercial driving experience in similar roles
