About the role
We are seeking a Trainee Paraplanner to support experienced Paraplanners and Financial Advisers in delivering outstanding client service. This entry-level role is ideal for someone starting a career in financial planning, with structured training and mentoring provided to help you develop technical knowledge and progress towards a full paraplanning role.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist in gathering client information and documentation
* Learn how to conduct basic research into financial products and solutions
* Support with drafting suitability reports under supervision
* Help maintain client records in our back-office system
* Shadow advisers and paraplanners during client meetings and casework
* Support the preparation of financial planning documents and annual reviews
* Stay informed about changes in financial products, regulations, and legislation
* Work towards relevant professional qualifications
Skills and Qualifications:
Essential:
* Strong interest in financial planning and wealth management
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Good attention to detail and a willingness to learn
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
* Minimum of A-Levels (or equivalent); degree preferred but not required
Desirable:
* Studying towards or interested in starting a Diploma in Financial Planning (DipPFS or equivalent)
* Previous experience in a financial services or administrative role is a plus
