Remuneration: £25,476 - £27,919 Pro-rata
Overall Purpose of Post: The Volunteer Engagement Co-Ordinator is responsible for volunteer retention and coordination across the organisation. The role ensures adherence to our data management strategy for effective monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes. The postholder will facilitate volunteer recruitment, induction, and support, contribute to service development, and promote good practice in service delivery, evaluation, and quality assurance, working closely with Service Leads & SMT.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Volunteer Co-ordination: Develop and refine volunteer recruitment strategies, oversee the volunteer database, maintain inventory of volunteer needs, process Access NI checks, update role descriptions and training programs, develop new initiatives, promote volunteering, and support volunteer retention and recognition.
2. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning: Develop and support monitoring and evaluation processes, assess outcomes, develop case studies, and coordinate volunteer satisfaction surveys.
3. Quality Assurance and Development: Review and develop volunteer policies, ensure compliance with legislation and best practices, promote diversity, and support quality improvement initiatives.
4. Data and Information Management: Collect and manage data effectively, analyze trends, ensure GDPR compliance, and support external communication and fundraising.
5. External Relationships: Build and develop stakeholder relationships, attend external meetings, and develop partnerships with various organizations.
6. General: Support volunteers as part of a multidisciplinary team, promote Cancer Focus NI, and undertake additional duties as required.
Person Specification:
Essential Criteria: Experience in delivering training and organizing events for volunteers, managing people or volunteers, relevant work experience, GCSEs in English and Maths, excellent communication and organizational skills, IT proficiency, teamwork ability, independence, adaptability, empathy, commitment to values, valid driving license, and access to transport.
Desirable Criteria: Experience in health and social care, community engagement, developing training programs, involving volunteers, relevant qualifications, and management qualifications.
Other Information:
