Interim Estates Surveyor
Day Rate: £400–£450
Contract Length: 12 months
Working Pattern: 1 day per week in the office as a minimum
An experienced Estates Surveyor is sought to join a busy public sector property team on an interim basis. This is a 12-month contract offering a varied general practice caseload, supporting the effective management and optimisation of a diverse property portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage a broad caseload of general estate management duties
* Handle a wide range of landlord and tenant matters including rent reviews, lease renewals, assignments, surrenders, and break options.
* Support property disposals, including site inspections, valuations, due diligence, and negotiation.
* Support asset valuations in line with RICS standards and support financial reporting requirements.
* Provide professional advice to internal stakeholders on property issues, risks, and opportunities.
* Assist in driving estate rationalisation and income generation initiatives.
* Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, best practice, and internal governance procedures.
About You
You will be a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) or have equivalent demonstrable experience in estates management within the public or wider property sector.
You should also bring:
* Solid experience in landlord and tenant work, particularly within mixed-use or public estate portfolios.
* A strong understanding of valuation principles and disposal processes.
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.
* The ability to manage a varied caseload independently and meet key deadlines.
