Job Title: Senior Product Safety Engineer

What you’ll be doing:
1. Develop, implement, and maintain the Safety Management System.
2. Support the production of Project Safety Management Plans.
3. Undertake Product Safety hazard and risk identification, management, and assessment activities.
4. Support construction of the Project Product Safety Case, including Safety Case Reports.
5. Support administration and management of the Project Hazard Log.
6. Support the delivery of training to the Product Safety and Environmental domains and the wider BAE Systems community.
7. Produce, present, and articulate clear and logical technical safety arguments.
8. Complete peer reviews, checking, verification, and assurance tasks to demonstrate the adequacy and robustness of the Project Safety Case and supporting documentation.
Your skills and experiences:
Essential: Science/Technology/Engineering/Mathematics (STEM) Degree or equivalent; awareness of environmental challenges related to the product.
Desirable: Awareness of design, manufacturing, assembly, commissioning, and testing submarine lifecycle phases; ability to interpret technical data.

The Integrated Combat Systems Team:
As a Product Safety Engineer, you will support the Engineering Delivery Manager in developing, delivering, and maintaining the Project Product Safety Management System and Product Safety Case, ensuring products are safe to own and legal to operate.
