The Role
We are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join our team in a varied and hands-on role. You will work with a range of clients and be involved in both compliance and ongoing financial support, including:
* Preparation of statutory accounts
* Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
* Preparation and review of VAT returns
* Preparation of monthly management accounts
* Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries
* Supporting the wider team with ad hoc assignments
* Supporting junior members of the team
About You
You will:
* Have experience working within an accountancy practice or wishing to take the first step away from Industry into Public Practice
* Be AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience
* Have strong experience in accounts preparation and tax knowledge
* Be confident communicating with clients
* Be organised, proactive and able to manage your own workload
* Good working knowledge of Xero and/or QuickBooks Online would be advantageous
