NurseryRoom Leader
Location: Tops PrinceRock, Plymouth, Devon
Job type: Full time,Permanent
Salary: Up to £13.88 per hour
Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week (between thehours of 7-6)
About the Role
OurRoom Leader’s looks after the educational and social development ofbabies and young children up to the age of five. Their primary dutiesinclude providing children with a safe environment to learn, helpingthem to develop basic social and behavioural skills and engaging themin age-appropriate play activities.
About theNursery
Tops Prince Rock Nursery is a 42 place Day Nursery & Pre-School situated in Plymouth.The nursery runseveral extra-curricular activities including Tops Forest School,cooking school, Boogie Mites, yoga, meditation and much more!
What does the role involve?
* Manage and support the team of childcare workers and educators inthe room.
* Delegate tasks and responsibilities to staff,ensuring a smooth workflow.
* Mentor and train staff to ensurehigh standards of care and education are maintained.
* Planand deliver age-appropriate learning activities that support thedevelopmental needs of the children.
* Organize a dailyroutine that balances learning, play, and rest.
* Createstimulating environments with engaging activities that encouragechildren’s curiosity and development.
* Ensure individuallearning plans are developed to meet the needs of each child.
* Ensure the room is always well-organized and that all resourcesare available and used effectively.
* Set up activities andcreate displays that reflect the children's work and progress.
What are we looking for?
* Early Years qualification (Level 3 or higher) in childcare.
* Strong leadership and organizational skills.
* Experienceworking in an early years setting.
* Good communicationskills, both with children and adults.
