Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Early Years Educator and SEN support assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children, promoting their development and learning through engaging activities. The candidate will be qualified at level 3 or above. This position requires a strong commitment to early childhood education and the ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. As we have a strong Christian ethos, all nursery sessions include bible stories, songs and prayer time.
Duties
* Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development.
* Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment for all children.
* Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to parents and guardians on their development.
* Manage the room behaviour effectively, ensuring a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
* Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall educational experience.
* Maintain accurate records of children's attendance, progress, and any incidents that may occur.
* Drive initiatives that promote the wellbeing of children in your care.
* Engage with parents and families to foster strong relationships and support their involvement in their child's education.
* Experience of working with children with SEN not essential but preferred
Skills
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
* Leadership abilities to guide and inspire both children and fellow educators.
* Experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is essential.
* Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
* Experience working with children of various ages to understand their unique needs.
* A proactive approach to problem-solving within an educational context.
