Weymouth Town Council is one of the newest and largest Town Councils in the Country
You will be joining a vibrant and enthusiastic team of staff based at Commercial Road in Weymouth. You will be self-motivated and able to use your initiative to problem solve. You will also be able to follow strict legal procedures and use your negotiating skills to secure the best outcomes for the Council.
This is a part time role, 22 hours per week, days and hours are flexible.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage leases, and licences in line with the Council’s financial regulations.
2. Administer licences and leases while maintaining accurate and complete records and files.
3. Monitor and review licences and leases for compliance, quality, and best value.
4. Robustly track performance, quality, using best practice to undertake corrective action where necessary.
5. Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address issues and improve performance where appropriate.
6. Licence, lease and/or manage the Council’s assets and buildings to support the council’s corporate objectives.
7. To actively promote and market the Council’s commercial opportunities to potential stakeholders.
8. Work with the Councils income generation group
9. The duties and responsibilities of the post are not restrictive, and the post holder may be required to undertake other duties from time to time. The post may change over time as the Council’s defines its work. Any such duties or changes should, however, not substantially change the general character of the post.
