IT Service Engineer
£40,000-£45,000 | London (on-site)
We're supporting our client, a fast-growing technology partner to a group of privately owned global businesses, in their search for a talented Service Engineer to join their London team.
This is a great opportunity to play a hands-on role supporting critical IT services across multiple industries - from energy and real estate to finance and shipping - within a collaborative and fast-moving environment.
The Role
As a IT Service Engineer, you'll deliver first-class IT support across a wide range of technologies - troubleshooting, resolving, and escalating issues while helping drive the client's digital transformation journey.
You'll work closely with technical peers, project teams, and end users at all levels to keep systems secure, stable, and efficient.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide hands-on support for hardware, software, and network issues
* Troubleshoot and resolve incidents across Windows, Office 365, and cloud environments
* Maintain and support network infrastructure (Cisco Meraki, Azure, VMware, etc.)
* Enforce cybersecurity policies and respond to potential threats
* Collaborate with third-party providers (e.g. Vodafone, Softcat)
* Support onboarding/offboarding, device builds, and systems access
* Act as an escalation point for junior engineers
* Assist project teams in deploying new technologies into BAU service
What You'll Bring
* 5+ years' experience in IT support or service engineering
* Strong knowledge of Windows (10, 11, Server 2008-2019), Active Directory, and M365
* Experience with networking, virtualization (VMware), and cloud platforms (Azure)
* Excellent communication skills, with confidence engaging stakeholders and VIPs
* ITIL certification or equivalent qualification (advantageous)
* Desirable: Veeam, Linux, PowerShell, MDM, or AV systems experience

⚙️ The Details
* Location: Marble Arch, London
* Schedule: 5 days on-site during probation, then 4 days per week
* Solid Shift options: 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm, or 10am-6pm
* Salary: £40,000-£45,000 per annum
* Contract Type: Permanent, full-time
