40 Hours Per Week + 1 Saturday Morning Per MonthMonday - Friday 7.30am-4.30pmWe are seeking a skilled and efficient Panel Beater to join our established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out all panel repair and replacement work on a variety of vehicles, ensuring all work meets manufacturer specifications and industry standards.Key Duties & Responsibilities* Perform vehicle damage assessments to determine the extent of damage and the best repair method.* Dismantle and reassemble damaged vehicle parts and components (e.g., mechanical, electrical, interior/exterior trim).* Repair minor dents and major structural damage to vehicle bodywork and panels.* Utilise a range of tools and techniques, including welding (MIG, TIG, spot welding), riveting, bonding, and panel-pulling systems.* Apply filler, sand, and prepare panels for the final refinishing/painting process.* Ensure all repairs are completed in a timely manner and adhere to strict quality control standards.* Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work area, complying with all Health & Safety legislation.* Identify and communicate any additional damage not noted on the original job card.*Skills & Qualifications *Essential:* Proven experience (minimum 2-3 years) working as a Panel Beater within an accident repair centre or busy bodyshop environment.* Relevant technical qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, VCQ, SVQ, or ATA accreditation) is preferred, though time-served experience will be considered.* Expert working knowledge of modern vehicle repair techniques.* Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.* Ability to interpret technical data and follow manufacturer specifications.* Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.* A full, valid UK driving licence.* Possession of your own complete set of tools.Desirable:* Experience with specific materials like aluminium, carbon fibre, and high-strength steel.We encourage and welcome applications from experienced candidates seeking progression into working alongside the Management Team to deliver excellent customer service providing quotations for both private, trade and insurance work.
