Network Security Engineer / Security Consultant (Cybersecurity) – Remote
This is a fully remote / full-time position.
Salary: £65–80k
This role involves travel across the UK, with an estimated 50% of the time away from home.
Are you a network security expert passionate about designing, deploying, and optimizing cybersecurity solutions?
My client is a leading cybersecurity solutions provider and value-added reseller, partnering with vendors like Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto, and Juniper Networks. They are seeking a Professional Services Engineer to deliver security implementations for their clients.
The Role:
You will be the technical authority, designing, configuring, and deploying enterprise-grade security solutions for clients across industries. You will lead projects from pre-sales to implementation, troubleshooting, and knowledge transfer, ensuring clients maximize their security investments.
What You’ll Do:
* Deploy & optimize security solutions (Check Point, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Juniper)
* Lead client implementations, migrations, and upgrades (remote & on-site)
* Collaborate with sales/pre-sales teams to scope and propose solutions
* Develop documentation such as designs, runbooks, and guides
* Provide troubleshooting and performance tuning
* Stay updated on emerging threats, vendor updates, and security trends
* Conduct client training and knowledge transfer sessions
Skills You’ll Need:
* 3+ years in Professional Services, Network Security Engineering, or similar
* Hands-on expertise in at least two of:
* Check Point (GAiA, R80.x)
* Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager)
Deep knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, routing/switching, and cloud security.
Bonus if you have:
* Experience with SOAR/SIEM, scripting (Python/Bash), or cloud security (AWS/Azure)
* ITIL, PMP, or cloud security certifications
