You’ll provide a housing management service, supporting customers to manage and maintain their tenancy and rent accounts with the aim of helping them move on to secure, long‑term accommodation, while picking and choosing the shifts you want to work.
What you’ll do
- Ensure our customers’ properties are homes they can be proud of by supporting and engaging customers in their tenancies.
- Help customers with housing benefit claims and make sure these are received on their rent account.
- Issue and sign warning letters and notices that may lead to court attendance when necessary.
- Prepare rooms for the next customers and maximise occupancy by turning around vacant or void rooms, bed spaces, or properties within set timescales.
- Ensure health and safety compliance and that maintenance standards are met.
You have
- Experience in managing a housing caseload and handling landlord and housing management duties.
- Know‑how of re‑letting rooms or units, collecting rents, and taking formal tenancy action when needed.
- Ability to take a lead role within the team, offering guidance and support to your colleagues.
- Willingness to work on your own initiative, positively influencing people from different backgrounds.
- Confidence in working collaboratively with colleagues in other parts of the business and with external partners.
- Willings to work across West Cornwall region (Falmouth, Penzance, Redruth, Camborne) and ability to pick your work location.
- Ability to use technology for creating and updating support plans, completing mandatory learning, and keeping in touch with colleagues.
- Having a vehicle insured for business purposes; mileage will be paid.
- Having an Enhanced DBS check, which the company pays for.
