This includes assisting with personal care, building independent living skills, and encouraging meaningful community participation. This role is best suited to an experienced and confident support worker who is comfortable working with complex needs and can provide consistent, person-centred support. Shifts Available (minimum of 20 hours per fortnight) Week 1 : Wed, Fri | 3:00pm - 7:00pm and Week 2 : Wed, Fri & Sat | 3:00pm – 7:00pm Sleepover shifts linked to your shifts once trained Additional shifts available to suit your availability Key Responsibilities Depending on individual client needs, your duties may include: Domestic assistance, including meal preparation and light household tasks Supporting clients to achieve personal goals and build independence Assisting with personal care (showering, dressing, toileting, eating and drinking) Supporting community access, including social outings and appointments Transporting clients to medical and other appointments Implementing care strategies as directed by health professionals Monitoring and reporting changes in health, wellbeing, and behaviour Building strong, respectful relationships with clients and their support networks We are committed to matching the right support worker with the right client. Skills And Experiences About You We are looking for a skilled and resilient support worker with experience supporting individuals with complex needs, including: Laryngectomy and alternative communication methods Psychosocial disability, including auditory hallucinations Behaviours of concern, including verbal and/or physical escalation Dysregulated eating patterns and food-seeking behaviours To be successful in this role, you will also have: Minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing or Community) Current First Aid and CPR certification A valid Australian Driver’s Licence and access to a registered, comprehensively insured vehicle Physical capacity to perform manual handling and personal care tasks Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships A genuine passion for making a positive impact in the community Full working rights in Australia You will bring a calm, patient, and professional approach, along with a commitment to supporting people to live a life of their choosing.
