About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for supervising classes during teacher absence, ensuring that students remain engaged with pre-set work and maintain positive behaviour. You will play a key role in maintaining continuity of learning and upholding the school’s standards.
Responsibilities:
• Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teachers, ensuring students remain on task.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson materials and instructions effectively.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement and progress.
• Support students with questions and provide guidance where necessary.
• Maintain a safe, orderly, and inclusive learning environment at all times.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
• Strong classroom management and organisational skills.
• Confident communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to remain calm, adaptable, and professional in a dynamic environment.
• A proactive and positive approach to supporting students’ learning.
