Key Responsibilities: - Teach English Language and Literature to secondary school students across various year groups. - Create dynamic and engaging lesson plans that promote a deep understanding of the subject. - Encourage critical thinking, creativity, and self-expression through a variety of teaching methods. - Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and differentiate lessons to meet diverse learning needs. - Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment where all students feel supported and valued. - Collaborate with colleagues to develop the curriculum and contribute to department initiatives. - Inspire students to reach their full potential. Key Skills and Qualifications: - Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) ideally with a specialisation in English. - Experience working within education. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and colleagues. - Ability to adapt teaching methods and resources to meet the diverse needs of students. - GCSE's or equivalent at grade C (Pass) or above. - A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting students' academic and emotional development. - Excellent communication and organisational skills. - A strong passion for teaching English and helping students develop their literacy skills.
