Overview
Based in Exeter, Croydon, Swindon, or Manchester, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team of around 90 Engineers and Technicians. We foster a friendly and supportive environment that promotes personal development across diverse projects, with flexible progression structures and work arrangements.
Our Water Sector Team collaborates with major UK water companies including South West Water, Severn Trent Water, Wessex Water, Thames Water, Southern Water, United Utilities, and Yorkshire Water. For more about our projects, visit our sector page.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Support multidisciplinary design schemes as part of an established MEICA team, assisting with project delivery within the Water sector.
* Lead your discipline on projects, possibly serving as the lead designer.
* Manage plans, schedules, and monitor work to meet deadlines and quality standards.
* Engage with clients and third parties as needed.
* Supervise and delegate tasks to team members.
* Review and approve work, including third-party proposals.
* Promote health, safety, welfare, and environmental sustainability in all work areas.
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
Essential:
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
* Chartered or working towards chartered status.
* Full driving license.
Preferred:
* Extensive experience in Electrical Engineering post-qualification.
* Experience working with water industry clients.
* Relevant design experience.
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, CAD/Revit, and BIM.
* Knowledge of BS7671 standards.
