Emerald Teaching is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant with a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN). This role involves supporting students with diverse learning needs in a positive and inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide one-on-one and small-group support to students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
* Assist teachers in adapting lessons to meet individual learning needs.
* Encourage student engagement and promote positive behaviour.
* Help maintain a structured, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
* Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and external professionals to implement effective support strategies.
* Support students' social, emotional, and personal development.
Requirements
* Experience working with children with SEN, preferably in a school setting.
* A patient, compassionate, and proactive approach to supporting students.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* An Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
