Job Title: 1:1 Tutor (Home & School-Based) Location: Loughborough and surrounding areas Hours: During school hours (term time only) Contract: Flexible / Part-time About the Role We are looking for an experienced 1:1 Tutor to support pupils across the Loughborough area in both home and school settings. You will deliver personalised learning to help pupils re-engage with education, build confidence, and achieve academic progress. This role is ideal for qualified teachers or experienced education professionals with strong classroom experience and a passion for supporting individual learners. Key Responsibilities Deliver tailored 1:1 tuition in core subjects (primarily English and Maths, KS1–KS4 depending on placement) Plan and adapt lessons to meet individual pupil needs and learning styles Work in pupils’ homes or school settings during school hours Monitor, track, and report on pupil progress Build positive and supportive relationships with learners Follow safeguarding and child protection procedures at all times Requirements Minimum 2 years’ teaching experience in a school or educational setting Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum Experience working with children or young people on a 1:1 or small group basis Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons Strong communication and interpersonal skills Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one) Right to work in the UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable but not essential.
