What You’ll Do
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will be on the front lines of Teleship’s outbound sales efforts. You’ll identify, engage, and qualify potential customers and partners through strategic outreach, as well as follow up on leads from marketing campaigns. Your work will directly impact our growth pipeline.
Your outreach will primarily target eCommerce and retail businesses across UK, Europe and the US, with some engagement of larger brands and select logistics partners including 3PLs and freight tech companies. This role reports directly to the Commercial Director and will play a key part in building our sales pipeline from the ground up.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct outbound prospecting via email, phone, and LinkedIn to generate new qualified leads
* Research target companies and identify key decision-makers
* Qualify inbound leads from marketing campaigns and determine fit based on defined criteria
* Book high-quality discovery calls and qualified meetings for our Sales team through targeted outbound efforts
* Manage and update lead records in HubSpot
* Schedule discovery calls and demos for the Sales team
* Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales to refine messaging and targeting
* Provide feedback on market trends, objections, and buyer behaviour
* Maintain consistent outreach activity and meet KPIs related to lead generation
* Fluency in English (spoken and written) is required, as it is our company’s primary working language.
What We’re Looking For
* 1–2 years experience in a BDR, SDR, or outbound sales role (B2B SaaS or logistics experience is a plus)
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Comfortable with cold outreach and rejection, resilient and self-motivated
* Familiarity with CRM systems (HubSpot preferred)
* Familiarity with tools like ZoomInfo, Dripify, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator is a plus.
* Highly organized, proactive, and results-driven
* A passion for eCommerce, logistics, or helping businesses grow
Nice to Have
* Experience working with Shopify merchants or retailers
* Relevant business degree
* Knowledge of international shipping, cross-border commerce, or logistics tech
* Experience using ZoomInfo, Apollo, or similar tools for prospecting
* Fluency in an additional language (French, German, Spanish etc) is a strong plus, as we work with customers and partners across Europe and North America.

Compensation: Approx. £32,000 annually. Includes a base salary + option for performance-based commission. (+stock options granted after 1 year contract). Final package depends on experience and fit.
