Elite Cranes UK are looking for a Welder/Fabricator to join our team.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Welder/Fabricator to join our team. This is a full time position, working Monday to Friday from our Headquarters in Haydock, Merseyside.
Role Purpose - Provide manufacturing support to ensure the project aspects of the business are supported effectively.
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Reading Engineering Drawings and working to set tolerances.
* Fabricating Overhead Cranes and other various types of lifting equipment to a high standard.
* Operating metal working machinery.
* MIG/Stick Welding.
* Measuring and marking out mild steel components such as plates, angles, hollow sections & profile beams.
* Weld preparations for steel structures.
* Welding repair work on steel structures.
* Use of hand tools and power tools effectively.
* Cutting, shaping and finishing metal products.
* Conduct inspections of finished products to ensure they meet quality standards and tolerances.
* Collaborate with team members to improve processes and enhance product quality.
* Troubleshoot any issues that arise during the fabrication or welding processes.
* Perform some painting duties when required.
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following health and safety regulations.
* On-site work will occasionally be necessary.
* Working as part of a team.
* Immediate Start available.
Skills and Abilities:
* Advanced knowledge of welding processes.
* Working knowledge of fabrication processes.
* Proven experience in fabrication and welding, particularly with large gauge steel.
* Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
* Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
* Good understanding of weld preparation procedures.
* Time-management and organisational skills.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
* Attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
* Proof of previous codings.
* To carry out a weld test.
* Fabricated box beam experience would be advantageous.
* Previous Knowledge of working in the lifting equipment industry would be preffered.
Experience:
* 10 years plus in this or a similar role.

* Our package will include an hourly rate of: £15p/hr
* Auto Enrolment to the Government pension Scheme.
* 25 Days holiday per year plus bank holidays.
* 40 Hour working week.
