The Gables in Hagley, near Stourbridge, is a luxury 61-bedded residential and dementia care home.
Working closely with our Wellbeing & Lifestyle Lead, the Wellbeing & Lifestyle Assistant is a hands-on role with responsibility for coordinating a successful activities and volunteer programme within the Cinnamon home. This includes internal and external communication about activities-focused programmes for our residents.
The role involves introducing appropriate activities for older people to support independence and identifying activities in the surrounding areas to help residents integrate into the local community.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Organise and conduct activities that encourage social, mental, and physical stimulation for residents within the home.
2. Help organise fundraising events.
3. Assist in organising special events such as Christmas entertainment, Ascot, Royal Occasions, etc.
4. Help produce a monthly programme of events to discuss with the General Manager.
5. Encourage residents and team members to participate in the activities programme.
6. Maintain posters and notice boards within the home.
