A leading global technology consultancy is supporting a major international banking organisation on the build-out of a new Operational Resilience Squad within its technology function. As part of a significant enterprise resilience transformation, we are hiring for two senior leadership contractors to help shape and deliver this strategic programme.
These are high-profile opportunities with strong senior stakeholder exposure across Technology, Risk, Audit and executive leadership.
Opportunities Available
1. Accountable Lead – Proactive Resilience, Innovation & Scenario Testing A senior leadership role responsible for translating resilience strategy into measurable execution across Technology.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own the integrated backlog and delivery roadmap for proactive resilience initiatives
* Lead prioritisation aligned to critical business services, impact tolerances and risk appetite
* Drive technology-led scenario testing and severe-but-plausible exercises
* Provide governance, transparency and delivery assurance
* Act as primary interface with senior Technology, Risk and resilience stakeholders
* Deliver executive-level reporting and clear delivery traceability
2. Senior Technology Operational Resilience Lead A senior integration role acting as the key link between Technology, resilience functions and delivery teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Own prioritisation of resilience risks, vulnerabilities and remediation activities
* Ensure technology platforms, service chains and controls align to resilience frameworks
* Provide oversight and challenge on resilience design, remediation plans and delivery progress
* Interface with Technology Risk, Operational Risk, Audit and CIO leadership
* Support scenario testing, impact tolerance validation and regulatory submissions
* Deliver executive-ready reporting and resilience insight
Background Sought
* Strong experience within financial services or another highly regulated environment
* Proven leadership experience across Technology, Infrastructure, Architecture, SRE or service operations
* Practical experience in Operational Resilience, Service Resilience, BC/DR, Incident Management, Scenario Testing or Technology Risk
* Strong understanding of complex enterprise estates with multiple platforms, suppliers and dependencies
* Excellent stakeholder management and ability to influence senior leadership audiences
* Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical resilience topics

Contract Details
Yorkshire
Hybrid – initially 2–3 days onsite per week, reducing over time
Start from June (earlier starts possible for strong candidates)
Rolling 6-month contract with expected long-term scope (up to 2 years / potential permanent)
