A client of ours in the Basildon area are recruiting an Import Clerk to join their team. This is a full-time permanent position working Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.30pm and paying £27,000 - £29,000 per annum depending on experience.
Key Duties include but are not limited to:
Entering jobs and manifests onto the system
Supplying the warehouse and all other depots with information required to enable the prompt and efficient off-loading of trailers.
Liaising with customers to gather their needs and requirements in order to ensure all deliveries are completed
Daily collating of necessary and required information from hauliers of arrival/departure times.
Daily calculation of prices and costs for certain manifests.
Daily up-dating of spreadsheets
Assisting Department Manager in the smooth running of the departmentSkills and Experience required to be considered for this Import Clerk position:
Minimum of 2 years experience with the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry
Experience within Road Freight
Basic Customs knowledge
Excellent communication skills
